Our History

English Air Service, LLC (EAS), was started in 1986 by Mark and Tracy English, there were challenges. Through their commitment, dedication, and just plain hard work English Air Services evolved into the 5-star company it is today. Mark and Tracy are both heavily involved in the company to this day.

We have been in business for over 35 years. Headquarters currently at the Santa Maria, CA Public Airport (KSMX) with an additional base located at Georgetown Municipal Airport in Georgetown, TX (KGTU). English Air operates 12+ aircraft, ranging from Bell 47 Soloy conversions to Bell 206 Jet and Long Rangers to MD 500's, and a full array of ground support equipment.

Our 20,000 square foot hangar in Santa Maria is home to our aircraft and ground support equipment as well as our maintenance operations and administrative offices. English Air currently operates under FAA Part 133, Part 135, and Part 137, capable of providing multiple helicopter services tailored to individual customer needs. Our current operations are focused on aerial applications, LIDAR/Mapping platforms, methane gas detection, powerline construction and maintenance, and utility aviation services.

Starting with one helicopter spraying locally to now utilizing a fleet of, nurse trucks, ground equipment providing support for Powerline construction and maintenance, mapping (including LiDAR) and utility work. Today, Steve Bell is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and with his vast background, the company continues to grow rapidly. Mark and Steve have built a great relationship and team to allow English Air Service to continue to get stronger and continue to grow strategically.

Provide our customers with services that directly benefit their operations, and to advance the helicopter community by providing programs that enhance safety, encourage professionalism, and economic viability while promoting the unique contributions vertical flights offer society.

As a privately owned company with 35 years of Aviation experience, we average 1,000 hours per year per airframe. We have a FAA approved Safety Management System (SMS) and we are an approved vendor for the Department of Energy (DOE).
